Davalgaa is the mobile app that was developed to help young women from the countryside to settle safely in Ulaanbaatar city. Princess Centre, the project implementing organization, has conducted a survey among over 80 young rural women on the challenges related to resettlement.
The main challenges were safety and lack of information on public services. Thus, the idea came to utilize technology in order to help young women find their way around the capital city. This app also connects young women and educates them about women’s and girls’ rights. Practical guides include protection from and violence prevention techniques, also where to seek help in case of violence.
Currently, the app is being distributed via public events, MONES and Princess Centre’s Facebook page, University websites and will be promoted via TV channels.
